Restore Respite: Information Meeting

Date: 09/3/2026

Location: Woodridge

Have you ever wished you could make a real, tangible difference in someone’s life with just a few hours a week?

RESTORE Respite is a new ministry at LOCC built around one simple idea: love, joy, and purpose can still flourish even in the midst of a dementia diagnosis — and volunteers are the heartbeat that makes it possible.

As a RESTORE volunteer, you’ll walk alongside a participant one-on-one — sharing conversation, activities, laughter, and presence — while giving a weary caregiver a few hours of rest they desperately need. It’s a small commitment of time that leaves a lasting impact, and many volunteers say they receive just as much as they give: new friendships, a sense of purpose, and the quiet joy of serving “the least of these.”

No special background is required — just a willing heart and a couple of hours to give. Training and support will be provided every step of the way.
