The Book of Daniel Ep. 1: The Testing of Daniel
This past weekend, we kicked off our brand-new series in the Book of Daniel with a message titled “The Testing of Daniel” from Daniel 1:1–21, a chapter that reminds us that living in a culture that doesn’t honor God is nothing new… but neither is God’s faithfulness to those who stand firm.
“But Daniel determined that he would not defile himself…”
(Daniel 1:8)
Message Highlights:
- Faithfulness begins with resolve. Daniel didn’t wait for a crisis. He chose from the start to honor God, no matter the cost.
- Even in exile, God was present, sovereign, and providing.
- Obedience often looks costly at first, but God always rewards it in His timing.
Daniel’s story begins with loss, captivity, and testing, but it quickly shifts into favor, wisdom, and divine strength. God didn’t remove the pressure. He proved His power in the middle of it.
This Weekend: “The King’s Dreams”
This coming weekend, we’ll continue our journey with Daniel 2:1–49 and the message titled “The King’s Dreams.” When Babylon’s king has a troubling vision no one can interpret, Daniel once again turns to the only One who truly reveals mysteries.
What do we do when the world demands answers we can’t provide? Come find out what it looks like to trust God with impossible situations and how He shows up when we humbly seek Him.
Let this week be a reminder: You don’t need to be in control to be faithful. You just need to be surrendered.
Can’t wait to continue this incredible series with you.
