This weekend, we continued The Return of the King series in Revelation 17:1–18. John is shown Babylon—beautiful and impressive on the outside, but corrupt within. The warning is clear: the world can make sin look attractive while hiding what it ultimately leads to.

Don’t Be Impressed by the World

Babylon offers pleasure, success, influence, and power, but her golden cup is filled with corruption. As believers, we must look beyond what the world makes attractive and remain faithful to Christ. Earthly powers may appear strong, but they are temporary. The Lamb will conquer because He is Lord of lords and King of kings.

Trust God’s Sovereignty

Even when evil appears to be winning, God is still in control. Nothing has slipped from His hands, and His purposes will be fulfilled.
