The Woman, the Dragon, and the Child

This weekend, we studied Revelation 12:1–6, “The Woman, the Dragon, and the Child.” In this passage, God gives us a glimpse into the spiritual battle taking place behind the events of history. While Satan works to oppose God’s plan, we are reminded that God is always in control, His purposes cannot be stopped, and Christ has already secured the victory for His people.

God’s Plan Cannot Be Defeated

The woman represents God’s faithful people, the dragon represents Satan, and the child is Jesus Christ. From the very beginning, Satan tried to stop God’s plan of salvation, but every attempt failed. God’s promises were fulfilled exactly as He planned, and nothing could prevent Christ from accomplishing His mission.

Our Hope Is in Christ’s Victory

After His resurrection and ascension, Jesus took His rightful place on the throne, proving that He alone is King. Even though believers continue to face spiritual battles, God faithfully protects and provides for His people. We can live with confidence because Christ has already won the victory, and one day His kingdom will be fully established.
