The Return of The King ep. 12: Heaven’s Worship of the Lamb
“Corporate worship is meant to remind us that the One who sits on the throne is the definition of power, glory, holiness, wisdom, and love.”
– Paul Tripp
This past weekend, we were invited into the breathtaking scene of heaven’s worship, where every creature gathers around the throne to exalt the Lamb who is worthy. In Revelation 5:8–14, we saw that worship is not passive or occasional but the eternal response to Jesus’ sacrifice and victory. As the Lamb who was slain, He alone holds authority over all things, and heaven resounds with praise because of His redeeming work. This vision calls us to reorient our hearts, reminding us that true worship flows from recognizing who Jesus is and what He has done, joining even now in the song that echoes through eternity.
Key Takeaways
– Worship centers on Jesus as the worthy Lamb, whose sacrifice secures redemption and authority over all creation.
– Heaven’s response shows that worship is active, unified, and constant, inviting us to live with the same posture daily.
– Our lives are shaped by what we worship, and fixing our eyes on Jesus transforms how we live, trust, and hope.
