One Nation Under God Ep.2:
The Divine Design Behind Every Nation
This past weekend, we continued our One Nation Under God series with the message “The Divine Design Behind Every Nation” from Acts 17:26–27.
In his speech at the Areopagus, Paul declares that God is not only the Creator of all humanity but the Divine Orchestrator of history, placing every nation, in every time and place, for a reason:
“From one man he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so that they might seek God…” (Acts 17:26–27)
-
God is not distant from nations. He’s intentional. Every country, every leader, and every era is part of His larger redemptive plan.
-
Where we live, and when, is not random. We were placed here, in this moment, to seek Him and help others do the same.
-
National identity should always point us to a greater purpose: knowing and glorifying God.
As we celebrate the birth of our nation, we’ll close out the series with a timely message: “National Awakening” from 2 Chronicles 7:14.
“If my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
God doesn’t just call nations to repentance. He calls His people to lead the way. This weekend’s message will challenge us to live with humility, prayerfulness, and bold faith in a culture that desperately needs both truth and grace.
We’re also looking forward to celebrating together on Friday at our Fourth of July gathering—a chance to worship, connect, reflect, and rejoice in the freedom we have, both as Americans and as children of God. We hope to see you there!
