Ecclesiastes ep. 5: Seasons of Life
This past weekend, we continued our Chasing the Wind series with a message from Ecclesiastes 3:1-15, Seasons of Life: Finding Peace in God’s Plan. In this well-known passage, Solomon reminds us:
“There is a season for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven… He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also put eternity in their hearts, but no one can discover the work God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,11)
This passage speaks to the rhythm of life—times of joy and sorrow, gain and loss, beginnings and endings. Solomon’s words challenge us to trust God’s timing, even when we don’t fully understand His plan.
Key Takeaways from This Week’s Message:
- Every season has a purpose. Whether we’re in a time of waiting, growth, or challenge, God is working in ways we may not yet see.
- Peace comes from trusting His sovereignty. Instead of resisting life’s changing seasons, we find peace by surrendering to God’s perfect timing.
- We were made for eternity. Our hearts long for something beyond the temporary—God has placed eternity in us, reminding us that our hope is in Him, not in what is fleeting.
Reflecting This Week:
- Embrace your current season. Ask God to reveal what He is teaching you in this moment of your life.
- Trust His timing. Even when things don’t make sense, rest in the truth that He makes all things beautiful in their time.
- Find joy in today. Instead of striving for the next season, practice gratitude for where God has you right now.
