Ecclesiastes Ep.17: The Heart of the Matter
This past weekend, we wrapped up our Chasing the Wind series with the final message: “The Heart of the Matter” from Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. After all Solomon’s searching, questions, and reflections, he brings it down to one clear conclusion:
“When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God and keep his commands, because this is for all humanity.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
At the end of a long and winding journey through life’s questions, Solomon doesn’t offer an abstract philosophy or a quick fix. Instead, he reminds us that the life that matters is one lived in reverence and obedience to God.
Final Takeaways from Ecclesiastes:
- Life is temporary. Everything “under the sun” comes and goes, but God remains constant.
- Wisdom starts with worship. Fearing God is not about being afraid—it’s about honoring Him with trust, humility, and obedience.
- Our actions matter. Solomon reminds us that God sees and will bring every act into judgment. So live wisely, live well, and live for Him.
Coming This Weekend: One Nation Under God
This weekend, we’re launching a new 3-week series called “One Nation Under God,” and it starts with a timely message: “God’s Sovereignty Over the Nations” from Daniel 2:20-21 and Psalm 33:10-12.
In a world filled with division, uncertainty, and political noise, it’s important to remember that God still reigns, and His purposes will stand. He raises up leaders, sets the boundaries of nations, and guides the course of history according to His will.
This series will help us see current events through a biblical lens and remind us that our ultimate allegiance is not to a flag, but to a King.
We hope you’ll join us for this powerful new series as we continue to seek God’s wisdom for the times we’re living in.
