The Return of The King ep. 33: Babylon the Fallen

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.“
– Jim Elliot

Babylon the Fallen

This weekend, we continued The Return of the King series in Revelation 18:1–24, where we see the dramatic fall of Babylon. What looked powerful, wealthy, and permanent disappears “in a single hour.” The chapter reminds us that anything we build our lives on apart from God will ultimately fail.

“Come Out of Her, My People”

God calls His people to live in the world without allowing the world’s values to capture their hearts. Our security cannot be found in money, success, possessions, or power. Our allegiance and security belong to Christ alone.

Build Your Life on What Lasts

Everything Babylon promised eventually becomes “no more.” But Jesus, His kingdom, His promises, and His grace will never end. When everything else is gone, Jesus will still be King.

Up Next
Join us next week as we continue through Revelation. Until then, ask yourself: What am I building my life on—something temporary, or the King whose kingdom will never end?
