Ecclesiastes ep.12: Grateful Living
This past weekend, we walked through Ecclesiastes 9:1-12 with a message titled “Grateful Living.” Solomon reminded us that while life may be unpredictable and fleeting, it is also a gift to be embraced, not merely endured.
“Go, eat your bread with pleasure, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God has already accepted your works.” (Ecclesiastes 9:7)
In a world obsessed with chasing the next thing, this passage calls us back to contentment and joy in the present—to live fully and gratefully right where we are.
Key Takeaways from the Message:
- Life is uncertain, but it’s still good. Instead of fearing what we can’t control, we’re invited to enjoy the moments God has given us.
- Gratitude honors the Giver. When we live with thankful hearts, we acknowledge that every breath, meal, and relationship is a blessing from God.
- Purpose is found in the present. Rather than waiting for perfect conditions, we’re called to live intentionally and joyfully today.
Coming This Weekend: Strength in Humility
We’ll continue in Ecclesiastes with a message titled “Strength in Humility” from Ecclesiastes 9:13-18. Solomon contrasts worldly power with quiet wisdom—and reminds us that true strength is often found in humble places and unlikely people.
It’s a timely word in a culture that celebrates pride and platform. God’s way, as always, is different—and better.
We look forward to gathering again this weekend as we keep walking in wisdom—together.
