Empowered ep.2: A New Nature
This past weekend, we continued our Empowered: Unleashing Your God-Given Gifts series with the message A New Nature, diving into 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. Paul paints a powerful picture of the body of Christ, reminding us that each believer is a vital part of God’s plan:
“For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—so also is Christ… God has arranged each one of the parts in the body just as he wanted.” (1 Corinthians 12:12,18)
Key Takeaways from This Week’s Message:
Every believer has a role. No part of the body is unnecessary—we are each designed with a specific purpose in God’s kingdom.
Comparison and division weaken the body. Just as a body needs every part to function properly, the church thrives when we work together rather than envying or undervaluing one another’s gifts.
Unity doesn’t mean sameness. God created us with different abilities, callings, and gifts—but all are meant to build up His church.
Looking Ahead
This weekend, we wrap up our Spiritual Gifts series with “Called to Serve” (Luke 17:7-10), where we’ll explore what it means to humbly use our gifts in service to God and others.
A Special Weekend with Dr. Don Whitney!
In two weeks, we’ll be welcoming Dr. Don Whitney, former pastor, professor, and author of Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a teacher who has helped countless believers grow in their faith and spiritual practices.
Returning to Ecclesiastes
After Dr. Whitney’s visit, we’ll pick back up with our Chasing the Wind series, looking at Ecclesiastes 4:13-16—”Wisdom that Outlasts Popularity”. Solomon’s words will challenge us to think about what truly lasts beyond fleeting fame and human approval.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend as we continue to discover how God has gifted and called us to serve!
